Personal taste is a wonderful thing - it creates a market for both the sublime and the ridiculous - and it is up to you to decide which is which.

At Gran Fondo Towers we lean towards the classic and understated - not a lot of flouro Tinkoff-Saxo camo around here - but even with us less is not always more.

Here is some of the cycling stuff that has caught our eye recently. Not all of them are brand new, but old doesn't mean bad unless you are in marketing at a bike manufacturer.

Feel free to let us know what you think and suggest gems we have overlooked.

We love the posters from ARTCRANKand the site is heavily used bookmark on our browser with the rotating selection of posters on offer. By the time you read this the selection will almost certainly have changed, which is half the fun.

At all times there are 30 posters priced at $45. Only 30 copies are for sale and once they are gone or 30 days has elapsed a new poster is ... posted. If you don't know it, check it out.

We are most definitely in the @CapsNotHats camp when it comes to headgear and we like these chapeaus from Velotastic and God and Famous.

And with it getting colder, here's one we wore earlier from Rapha-- definitely keeps the bald spot and ears toasty.

Sticking with extremities, these gloves from Cinelli are fun and will stand out in the kit bag from the jumble of black items that you always end up sifting through.

Both on and off the bike, the torso is always going to make or break your appearance and the following all caught our eye for being a bit different.

Twin Six always knocks out eye-catching clothing and the No Man's Land Longsleeve and the Wound Up(here the women's version) live up to that.

The Simple Need T-shirt from Pedal Pushers brought a smile while whether you fancy putting on Rouleur's Rule #5 Tprobably depends on your world view of the Velominati and the vortex of serious/joke /ironic/no it's serious/elitist dicks opinions the Keepers of the Cog tend to generate. We like.

Also for off-bike use - except for the smartest Eroica riders - are these cufflinks from Velocast. Even if they are not for general sale, they made us smile. Not sure about the best lube to use on them.

Not just for the alliteration, these Bianchi bidons/bottles caught our eye. The logo/color combination is one of the most recognizable in cycling and while, obviously, will work best in the cages of an actual Bianchi, we think they would add a touch of class to any bike.

And to finish, high art and low comedy.

The Bloomberg -- of all sources -- 's piece on hand-built bikes is well worth a read and features some beautiful frames on which you would not want to put one of Gravel Bike's stickers. The donut one made us laugh.
