Cycling in Yorkshire has been a staple in our sport for many years, partly thanks to the amazing scenery, challenging climbs and beautiful country lanes the county has to offer but, in more recent years, also thanks to the 2014 Tour de France. Since then, it has become somewhat of a cycling mecca.

Starting just outside the walled city of York, our three Yorkshire Classic Sportive routes showcase the glorious areas of both North Yorkshire and East Riding of Yorkshire, making for a fun day in the saddle.

Our Yorkshire Classic Long route takes you up and over enough vertical ascent to give your legs a true taste of the area, whilst our Short ride, at only 285m of climbing, is perfect for anyone wishing to explore the area for the very first time on two wheels.

With a good mix of rolling hills with long climbs through to fantastic flat sections on the top of the ridgelines, that will offer up some immense views over the Vale of York. To round the course off we swing through the beautiful Kirkham Abbey after which the last 20km of the course flattens out for the final push to the finish.

Of course, you’ll be rewarded for all your efforts as you cross the finish line to receive a finishers medal and other goodies from our partners at Jimmy’s Iced Coffee, OTE Sports and Days.
