The Velo-Love Ride (formerly the Rice Valley Tandem Rally, but it's not just for tandems!) offers 100, 60 and 40 mile options featuring a loop around the Sutter Buttes (the world's smallest mountain range) in Northern California. It starts in Gridley.
The ride around the world's Smallest Mountain Range circles in a clockwise direction, so the peaks are always on your right. There is a lunch stop and other services in Sutter on the southeast side of the Buttes, the only town you'll see on this ride.
The ride's one climb (200') follows shortly after lunch. Then it's more gently-undulating terrain completing the loop around the Buttes, back past Gray Lodge and returning to Gridley for the catered post-ride dinner by El Tamborazo Restaurant! This is a very flat ride, but it can at times be windy, so an early start can help!
Tandems and single bikes are ALL welcome! This is a Rain or Shine event.
