A challenging double-century that began in 1984, the 100/200 (a.k.a. 200-on-100) spans Vermont north to south, following scenic Route 100. The 100/200 is a true New England classic, and a prime target for experienced cyclists.

Rolling terrain for the first 100 miles with a number of fairly easy climbs, the real climbing starts in the second half.  The three climbs of note are Killington (620'), Terrible Mt. (1210'), and Mt. Snow (1825'), which leaves you with 25 miles and still over 1000' of shorter climbs to go. The ride will test your ability to pace yourself.

When you finish, you'll truly understand why so many cyclists say "Vermont ain't flat!" Join us for this annual Vermont classic.

There is no charge for registration for the 100/200. Being a ride without rules, there is no need to register at all, but it does help us to plan and to do what we can to connect people who need a ride with drivers who have space to offer.

Of course, registration creates no obligation. If you are averse to formalities like this, or are in a witness protection program, feel free to just show up at 4:30 am ready to ride!

Extra Information

You might be thinking to yourself, “This is a strange ride. What are these people really offering?”

There are all kinds of rides, from fully supported tours where a positive experience is guaranteed, to fleches, where only the destination, date, and a few arcane rules are established. This ride is somewhere on that continuum.

We are not guaranteeing you anything, other than we plan to be at the Canadian border at 4:30 am, June 23rd. We'll do what we can to organize the support vehicles, which mostly consists of keeping track of who is riding with whom, and coordinating breaks. We are not renting vans, setting up tents, providing food or support, reserving lodging, paying traffic tickets, or taking responsibility for you or your equipment.

There are no fees for this ride, no special insurance policies, no sanctioning by any organization, no prizes and no rules.

All we can guarantee is a ride you will talk about for the rest of your life.
