4 Summit Challenge

Located in Cascade Valley’s stunning mountain range, the Four Summit Challenge course covers the two mountain passes along Warm Lake Road. This challenging course attracts large numbers of cyclists from a wide variety of locations. The ride starts at the American Legion Hall in downtown Cascade and proceeds down Main Street to Warm Lake Road. From there, riders choose to ride between 1-4 summits.

Due to road construction on the Warm Lake Summit, the 2016 route will vary from previous years.

The ride includes Big Creek Summit and Warm Lake Summit descending to Landmark. At Landmark, or a summit of choice, these extremists turn around and backtrack, once again returning to their starting point. For those looking for a low key, leisurely outing, there is the option to sign up for the Family Fun Ride.

Ride anywhere from 1-4 summits, the choice is yours! At anytime you can choose to ride 1, 2, 3, or 4 summits - even the day of event as you are riding the route.

One Summit Challenge -- This 30 mile ride will take riders from Cascade along the Warm Lake Road to the top of Big Creek Summit (elevation 6,580’) and back again.  

Two Summit Challenge -- This 50 mile ride will take riders from Cascade over Big Creek Summit to continue on to Warm Lake and returning by the same route.

Three Summit Challenge --This 60 mile ride will take riders over Big Creek Summit on to Warm Lake and up to the top of Warm Lake Summit (elevation 7,297’) and back to Cascade.

Four Summit Challenge --This 75 mile ride will take riders over Big Creek Summit on to Warm Lake and over the Warm Lake Summit to Landmark and back again.

Family Fun Ride --This 8.2 mile ride will take riders out Warm Lake Road to the Crawford Weigh Station and back to Cascade.
