Apple Blossom Bike Tour

The friends of El Dorado Adventist School look forward to providing you with a beautiful, safe and fun-filled ride through Apple Hill® and the Sierra Nevada foothills. The staff wants to give you an experience you won't forget.

The Apple Blossom Bike Tour begins and ends at the El Dorado Adventist School near the quaint downtown district of Placerville, California. The roads and trails wind their way through blooming apple orchards, vineyards and stunning mountain views. Riders can choose from three routes: the metric century, the metric half-century and the family ride. 

Metric Century
This ride will give you spectacular views. You'll make your way through some of El Dorado County's pristine vineyards before climbing into the woods.  Cruise to your car by way of Apple Hill®.  Don't be fooled!  This is not a typical metric century.  This ride will test your fitness with 7000+ feet of climbing. 

Metric Half-century
Pedal through 30 miles of the most beautiful scenery in Northern California. Enjoy winding country roads as you make your way through Apple Hill's® orchards.  The descent has sweeping views of the Sacramento Valley and passes through towering cedar trees.  The 3,500 feet of climbing will be worth it!

Family Route
Tour El Dorado County's bike trails.  Follow the old railroad bed as you head toward Apple Hill®.  Gain approximately 900 feet before returning to El Dorado Adventist School.  This is a family-friendly route so bring your kids! Recommended for riders ages 8 and up.  

Rider Support
Tasty apple treats, healthy snacks and refreshing drinks will be provided at the rest stops. A post-ride meal will be served and the first 200 participants will receive t-shirts and goody bags.

Rest stops will be available at 20-mile intervals. Tech stations will be positioned at several of the rest stops to handle any needed repairs. SAG vehicles will be cruising the routes.  The drivers will be available to offer a ride or answer questions.
