Climb the Gunks for MS Gran Fondo

The Climb the Gunks for MS Gran Fondo is a fun and challenging event with the purpose of benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS). Every member and volunteer of our team donates their time and energy to benefit those who suffer with MS. 100% of the net proceeds of this event will go to benefit the NMSS.

Since this is the event’s inaugural year, the event will be limited to 250 cyclists. Sign up before it’s too late!

In addition to the registration fee, all cyclists are requested to fundraise or donate a minimum of $50 to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. 

This ride takes place on the Shawangunk Mountain Range. Referred to affectionately by cyclists, hikers, climbers and locals as the "Gunks," this region offers an experience of great variety and beauty.

There are 3 routes for this event: The Gran Fondo, the Medio Difficile Fondo and the Medio Fondo. There is no Piccolo (small) Fondo since the least difficult of these 3 routes averages 100’ per mile. There are no small or easy rides on the Shawangunk Mountain Range.

This ride is not a race, but the Gran Fondo will have 5 timed sections. The longest segment is over 1800’ of climbing and 5.1 miles in length. The two Medio Fondos have timed section(s). Use these timed sections to challenge yourself or your friends/teammates.

Along the routes there will be fully stocked rest stop(s) with bathrooms and SAG (support and gear) vehicles. At the finish there will be a full meal and assorted beverages.Since this is a charity fundraising event there will be no cash prizes. The Queen of the Mountain (QOM), King of the Mountain (KOM) and the team with the best average time will all receive custom t-shirts acknowledging their accomplishments.
