Cool Breeze Century

Experience Southern California’s Premier Coastal Bike Ride! Whether you’re a seasoned centurion or just coming out for your first organized ride, you’ll find a Cool Breeze route to please your pedals.

Five routes include our unique, beautiful California Coast. Our cheerful volunteers are eager to help make your ride day an experience to remember. Rest stops are stocked with abundant snacks to fuel your journey. And don’t forget what we’re famous for – Popsicles on the Rincon!

Popsicle Power and the cool coastal breeze will whisk you back to the ride finish where you’ll share the day’s adventures with fellow cycling enthusiasts as you enjoy a satisfying post-ride meal.

• Mini-Metric - a fairly flat 36 mile route on the river trail to Oak View to the coast and back to the start.
• Metric - about 62 miles w/ just about 2000 feet of climb.
• Century - 102 miles w/ about 4000 feet of climb - moderately challenging, excellent for 1st time centurians.
• Hilly Century - 107 miles and a little more climb… about 6000 feet.
• Double-Metric - a challenging 126 mile ride w/ about 7000 feet of climb.

Each year, Channel Islands Bicycle Club partners with Kiwanis Club of Ventura, a division of Kiwanis International, to host the Cool Breeze Century bike ride, the proceeds of which are donated to local organizations in Ventura County.
