Northern California's no hills century, no kidding, there are no hills on this FUN road bike ride through the pastoral scenery of Colusa and Sutter Counties. Join with your friends and other people like yourself on this little known FLAT bike ride...

The 3F Century is different than most centuries. It doesn't have the heart-pounding, thigh-killing climbs that many centuries have. Instead of hills, hills and more hills, the 3F Century offers a FLAT, FAST, and FUN bike ride. The total elevation gain is 591'. Boy are you going to have fun! This is an opportunity to do your personal best century time....

Visit the rural towns of Meridian and Sutter. Ride through the pastoral farmlands of the Sutter Bypass, cross the Tisdale Weir, ride along the scenic Sacramento River levee road and around the unique Sutter Buttes (the smallest mountain range in the world), where John C. Fremont camped his troops in 1848 and return to Colusa along the banks of the beautiful Sacramento River.

Is the course really as flat as advertised?

Yes. The total elevation gain over the ride is 591 feet, according to MapMyRide. This is less than .01% percent gradient over the 100 miles. The 3F Century was named the best event for first-time century riders by CycleCA magazine. The steepest inclines are when transitioning from valley farmland to the top of the levee, which is a twenty foot climb over 300 feet.

Extra Information

The 3F Century started in May of 2010. Initially the ride was a fundraiser to help pay for a wrestling mat for the Colusa High School Wrestling team. We met that goal. The ride is now sponsored by the Colusa Lions Club and helps support youth activities in Colusa County.
