Come ride Nova Scotia's Acadian Shore and experience breathtaking scenery, challenging routes and unrivaled hospitality!

The Gran Fondo Baie Sainte-Marie will appeal to those looking to ride for fun, for good health and to take on a personal challenge, all while enjoying the beautiful scenery in a safe environment.

Although a timed event, this is more of a self-paced FUN group event, rather than a race. There will also be opportunities to sample Acadian fare at nutrition breaks.

The 161.5 km SUPER GRAN loop is for the hardcore cyclist! Experienced riders will be challenged by our slightly lengthened Gran 120 km or our Medio 67 km , while novice cyclists may prefer the shorter 35 km Piccolo Fondo.

Riders will navigate rolling inland roads and pass by towering wooden churches along the panoramic coastal route that hugs beautiful Baie Sainte-Marie. Both the Gran and Super Gran routes take a left-hand turn after Mavillette Beach, and cycle through the picturesque fishing village of Cape St Marys. Both the Super Gran and Medio Fondo rides take participants around the scenic Bas-de-la-Rivière loop with vistas of la Baie Sainte-Marie and Digby Neck.Registration includes:

• Finish Line Kitchen Party with Medals. Every participant will receive a custom medal when they cross the finish line, branded after our Gran Fondo and Clare's 250th anniversary, to the backdrop of live Acadian music!
• Access to Saturday Social, featuring râpure (rappie pie), Acadian music, La Baie en Joie Acadian dancers, route tips and more!
• Nutrition Stops - including Acadian delicacies!
• Hard-copy route map and GPX map file for your GPS device will be available via Ride with GPS
• Bike tag for transponder timing, by Atlantic Chip
• Electronic Start/Finish Timing
• Post-ride Meal (LOBSTER, BBQ Pork or new for 2018, Veggie chili!)
• Free Massages. After the ride treat yourself to a free massage by one of our Registered Massage Therapists. You will deserve it!
