The Gran Fondo Miami 2017 edition follows a route to showcase the full heritage of the City of Miami.

In its 6th iteration, this year the Gran Fondo Miami brings you a fresh, new mix of the best Miami has to offer. You can choose the scenic 25 mile route or the challenging 60 and 100 miles courses. Either way, you will see why this Gran Fondo bears the name of the city of Miami.

The new course snakes through the City of Miami in its initial stages. It brings you around the most iconic landmarks: The Historical City of Miami Hall (where we start and finish), stylish Brickell, iconic Miami downtown, the world-famous Arts District, Coconut Grove, and more. Under Police escort, the fast riders in the front group will be able to keep the pace high. Other may choose to slow down and take in the beauty of the fair city of Miami.

After the scenic portion of the course, the Gran Fondo Miami changes the tempo to open spaces through the hammocks and into the red lands where seasoned cyclists can attack the course, while others can appreciate the bounty of the land while riding through beautiful fields of seasonal grow. We placed a rest stop at renowned Robert Is Here fruit stand. You may want to bring some cash to sample their famous smoothies made with fresh picked, local fruits.

Fully supported, this year we improved our stranded cyclists support with 3 mobile repair vans constantly patrolling the course, riding marshals, Course Management vehicles and several SAG vehicles carrying extra supplies. If the mobile mechanics can’t get you out of a jam, the SAG will take to the Finish line festival where the party begins.

Some but not all roads will be closed for traffic.

The Gran Fondo Miami is chip-timed, so you can measure your personal achievement.
The course is carefully marked with street signs and paintings on the road.

Attend the vendors Expo on Saturday and Sunday to be treated to samples or to pick up that last minute spare tube or CO2 cartridge. Our sponsor bike shops will help you to whatever you need to be at your best.
