The Granfondo Garneau-Quebecor is an annual event organized by Louis Garneau Sports since 2009. The participants must ride a 118 km between Trois-Rivières and St -Augustin-de-Desmaures on a magnificent course alongside the St. Lawrence River via Route 138 and the Chemin du Roy. The Minifondo is back for a second year with a 22 km course in the city of Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures.
This event is intended to promote physical activity and healthy lifestyle habits while raising funds for the Little Brothers organization. The event is open to both amateur cyclists and seasoned athletes alike. Last year, the Granfondo attracted over 2,000 cyclists.
Riders will take the start at the Alphonse-Desjardins sports center in Trois-Rivières starting 9:00 am and will arrive at the Louis Garneau Sports factory in Saint -Augustin-de-Desmaures in the afternoon. Several pelotons will be formed according to riders’ average speeds.
Participants of the Minifondo will set off from St-Augustin-de-Desmaures at 8:30 am. They will then take a break before heading back to the Louis Garneau Sports factory via St-Augustin-de-Desmaures’ 3e Rang. They will be back just in time to enjoy a good meal and watch the Granfondo riders cross the finish line.
Registration is $125 until Jan 31, $130 until May 31, $150 to July 31, $160 to August 9 and $200 after that. Included is:

Extra Information
A shuttle service, available at a cost of $35, will transport participants and their bikes from the Louis Garneau Sports factory in St-Augustin-de-Desmaures to the Alphonse-Desjardins Sports Center in Trois-Rivières. Participants can take the shuttle service in the morning to get to the start line in Trois-Rivières, or in the afternoon for the return after the event.
The morning of the event, several shuttles will be leaving the Louis Garneau factory between 5:30 am and 6:30 am. Specific parking spaces will be provided for participants.
For the return to Trois-Rivières after the event, the shuttles will be leaving the Louis Garneau factory starting 1:30 pm and until the end of event.
