Routes

The Griz!
Over 10,000 foot elevation accumulated climbing on full route (72 or 80 mile/8,000' climb option available). Lunch at Mile High Vista. Pines, mixed conifer, red fir forests, meadows, High Sierra views and Cold Springs Summit (7,308'). 11.8 mile/4,000' descent to Bass Lake!! One of the best rides in California. 5 rest stops, 2 water stops. New for 2014 the Scenic Byway option 95 miles, 9,500' climbing. Skip the Grizzly Road. Continue past Arch Rock towards Jackass Meadow. Includes 9 miles of gravel so be prepared. Limited SAG on this section. Rejoins main Griz route before Cold Springs Rest stop.

Byway Grinder (NEW)

About 100 miles -- a new addition to the Griz. 19 miles of new route, with a 9.5 mile grinder section of road beyond the Arch Rock Turn off. The road is half paved and half a combination of gravel, oil, native surface, etc. Bypasses the Grizzly Road. 25 - 28 mm tires are highly recommended if you choose this route! It will NOT be supported by sags, so be prepared! That said, it should be a great experience.

Metric Century
5,000 foot elevation climb on an out 'n back route along the Scenic Byway with an eight mile sweeping downhill finish. Pines and mixed conifers along the way. Tremendous views and lunch at Mile High Vista! Three rest stops.

Loop the Lake
24 miles with an elevation gain of 2,000 feet. Rolling ride takes you around Bass Lake. Beautiful pines and lakeside serenity. Fast finish on county highway Road 274. One rest stop. Option to add a no-climb loop across the dam for extra miles.
