Colorado's Classic Alpine Road Ride

The famous Copper Triangle has long been considered one of Colorado’s classic alpine road rides.  Graced with breathtaking scenery, gorgeous roads and three challenging climbs, the i25Kia.com Copper Triangle exemplifies cycling in the Colorado Rockies.

A spectacular 78-mile loop cresting three Colorado Mountain passes – Fremont Pass (elevation 11,318’), Tennessee Pass (elevation 10,424’) and Vail Pass (elevation 10,666’). The course passes three ski areas and is littered with historic mining outposts and Camp Hale, the training ground for the famous 10th Mountain Division. The total elevation gain for the course is 5,981 ft. A great day on two wheels.

Sag wagons will drive the course with water and be available to assistance riders experiencing mechanical trouble or those who become too fatigued to finish. Please be prepared to handle your own flats and minor repairs.

Riders will start and finish at Burning Stones Plaza in central Copper Mountain Resort, Colorado. Amply stocked aid/rest stations will be positioned throughout the course. Upon returning from your ride, participants will be greeted by the “Alpine Celebration”. The post-ride party, with music, a first – class lunch, prize drawings and cycling expo will continue throughout the afternoon.

In addition to a great experience cycling this incredible alpine course, each participant will receive:

• a specially designed 2017 i25 Kia Copper Triangle Jersey
• energy replacing refreshments at the amply stocked aid stations
• a ticket to the post-ride “Alpine Celebration”
• goodies from our many sponsors
• a chance to win dozens of valuable prizes
• custom bike number for the ride and wristband for lunch expo
