The Katie Ride is a premier bicycle touring event catering to cyclists of all abilities. The annual fundraiser is held on beautiful Amelia Island ("Top 10 Island in the United States" - Conde Nast Traveler 2012 Readers' Choice Awards) and features routes of 63 miles, 34 miles, 18 miles and an off-road ride through Fort Clinch.

The event was created in 2005 to raise awareness for organ donation and support the Katie Caples Foundation nationally recognized organ donor education program.

From avid cyclists to those who "pull out the beach cruiser a couple of times each year" - the ride truly caters to everyone.

Registration includes: 
Breakfast, lunch, free Katie Ride t-shirt, after event massage, medal upon completion, discounts on awesome gear, and amazing fully supported cycling, walk and run routes.   Plus, the knowledge that you are changing lives for the better!

Proceeds from the Katie Ride event support the Katie Caples Foundation nationally recognized organ donor education program.

CYCLISTS MUST RAISE A MINIMUM OF $125 (IN ADDITION TO THE REGISTRATION FEE OF $50) BEFORE CHECK-IN TO PARTICIPATE.

The Katie Caples Foundation was formed in 1998 following the death of Katie Caples at age 17. The Foundation is committed to increasing the number of registered organ donors and eliminating the wait for the more than 125,000 adults and children currently in need of a life-saving organ transplant.
