Come explore 34 miles of Vermont’s most beautiful, scenic and iconic dirt roads.
Celebrate early Spring in true Vermont style and enjoy this fully-supported ride on the remote back roads of Central Vermont.
Maybe you haven’t put the miles in yet this season and your legs are still a little sleepy. Maybe you’re trying to get back to town in time for the afternoon Climate March. Maybe you just can’t go too far without the feeling of good hard pavement under your wheels. Whatever the reason, there’s no shame in a shortcut. That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Hibernator, our new Muddy Onion short loop!
Stick around afterwards for our famous post ride Barbecue - complimentary with registration!
As for the ride itself, expect no less than our chocolate-covered bacon, maple syrup shots, early season burning legs and quite possibly a little gravel magic along the way… See you all there!
Day-of registration is $60 at Onion River Sports starting at 7:30am.
– Fully-marked course
– A beautiful ride on the hills in and around Montpelier
– Stocked midway station with food, water and beverages…
– A post ride meal and beverages at Onion River Sports

Spring is coming, so come on out and celebrate through the hills, mountains and scenic roads of Vermont!
Breakfast: We’ll have amazing house-brewed coffee on hand at the event courtesy of Capitol Grounds—and if you’ve got a hankering for scrumptious sustenance pre-ride, head over to their cozy State Street location for breakfast sandwiches, muffins, pastries, and more. Or wander next door to southern-inspired Down Home for light breakfast options and scratch-made sandwiches to bring along on the ride.
