Community Center for the Blind invites you to participate in Pedaling Paths to Independence.

This is a great ride on ANY bike–road, tandem, mountain, single speed, recumbent, fixed gear, cruiser, high wheel, hybrid, unicycle.

Bike Friday–the metric (65 miles with 1,300 feet of elevation gain) and quarter (25 miles with 300 feet of elevation gain) century routes traverse the quiet rural roads of San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Calaveras counties, through verdant pastures, orchards, and vineyards. (The metric century includes a portion of Stage Three of the 2011 Tour of California.)

Fees include pastoral scenery, maps and route sheets, pre-ride technical support by Lodi Bicycle Shoppe; radio communications provided by the Stockton-Delta Amateur Radio Club, fully stocked rest stops with those famous Betty Crocker® Brownies courtesy of General Mills, Inc. Lodi Plant and fig bars provided by Nature’s Bakery.

Of course, riders and guests will end the day with a scrumptious post ride meal catered by DeVinci’s Delicatessen and Catering–Linden and entertainment by Creative Sounds DJ and Sound ServicesMiles John Natural Light Photography will capture images of the event, which will be available for purchase. And, be sure to bring a few extra dollars to purchase raffle tickets–$1.00 each or six for $5.00–to win some very cool items.
