The Chico Wildflower Century® is about the most fun you can have on a bike! It has even been rated as one of Bicycling Magazine's Top Ten Century rides. Come out and join us for the 37th annual Chico Wildflower, and you'll see why.

Make it a weekend! Kick off your ride with our Saturday WildFest pre-ride party with rider check-in, cycling-inspired expo, Sierra Nevada beer garden, and Fork In The Road food trucks.

Route Info
The traditional Wildflower 100, which climbs Humboldt, Honey Run, and Table Mountain, and the Wildflower 65, which climbs only Honey Run, offer plenty of challenge. The two Wildcat options, started in celebration of Chico State's 125 year anniversary in 2012, will put any rider to the test. The Flatflowers (12, 30 or 60 miles) and Childflower 12 boast absolutely no hills at all.

The Wildflower has grown steadily over the years to 4,000 participants. About 3,000 riders take to the hills (Wildcat 125 or 100, and Wildflower 100 or 65), about 900 ride the Flatflowers (60, 30 or 12 mile) and over 200 young cyclists ride the Childflower 12 on the bike path to Durham and participate in the Butte Bike Coalition Bike Skills Rodeo. All the rides aim to satisfy the century rider's three biggest priorities – challenge, scenery, and food!

Our routes are designed to offer 'just enough' challenge to any level of cyclist on our best rural roads lush with springtime beauty. Your rest stops are loaded with plenty of fresh baked goodies (like java, banana-walnut and lemon-poppyseed breads and raspberry and apricot granola bars), fresh fruits, salty snacks, energy bars and drinks, and each ride offers a lunch spread that accommodates any dietary constraints. And then there's the traditional rider dinner at the finish!

Featuring:

  • SAG support on all routes
  • Signage with bailout options and estimated ‘time to complete at Oroville Forebay, Spring Valley School, and Durham School rest stops so you can plan your route and get back to the Silver Dollar in time for dinner!
  • Chico Velo’s Ride Rangers will be out on the course to assist you. Look for the Gold and Black Chico Velo kit with this Ride Ranger emblem!
