The Tour de Hills Tour rides are three non-competitive ride alongside the definitely competitive USA Cycling-sanctioned road races.
The longest of the three tours does the same "Jasper Disaster" route as the racers. There are three major climbs (Pruitt, Mt. Sherman and Ponca- 5,500 feet of climbing and 15% grades in total), two thrilling descents and miles of beautiful Ozark scenery.
The three tour courses of 15, 26 and 58 miles are aimed at cyclists wanting a more recreational, liesurely or family ride. They are well marked with signs and include rest stops stocked with water, fruit and snacks.
Tour de Hills is presented by Harrison Parks and Rec and the Kiwanis Club of Harrison.
$30 before March 28, $35 through April 13 and $40 day-of.
