The 2018 Wine Country Century is happening!

The 2017 wildfires hit us pretty hard. Our rented warehouse, the 25+ year accumulation of event equipment and supplies, and cargo trailers burned in the fire, but we want to assure you that we have a plan for recovery, and that we are committed to the 2018 Wine Country Century being better than ever!

This commitment is made possible by the resolve of our experienced and very dedicated membership and the truly amazing support of the community.

In total over $100,000 has been contributed to our recovery effort from our friends and partners at Rotaries, cycling events we have supported, riders from past SRCC events, local businesses, bicycle clubs all around Northern California, and well-wishers throughout the county and even nation.

Please note: Registration for 2018 is limited to the first 2,000 entries. We appreciate your understanding in this year of rebuild-renew-restore.

Sonoma County is famous for its scenic backroad cycling, and this century shows you why. In addition to visiting many of the region's premier vineyards, the route winds through redwoods, apple orchards, and shady broadleaf forest. It meanders across meadows sprinkled with wildflowers and climbs over hillsides dotted with eucalyptus, bay, and oak.

Depending on your route, you'll cross the beautiful Russian River as many as six times. Again, depending on your route, you might pass through as many as seven different vineyard appellations: Russian River Valley, Green Valley, Sonoma Coast, Northern Sonoma, Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley, and Chalk Hill.

The three long routes incorporate a lunch stop (with more food than a regular rest stop) in a shady redwood grove at the Warm Springs Dam Visitor Center. This is considered a moderately easy century...a good choice for those attempting their first 100-miler. It isn't all flat though, and by the time the finish rolls around, even seasoned riders will feel they've earned their after-ride barbecue.

The four ride options are 35 Miles, Metric Century, Century and Double Metric Century.

At the Finish:

  • An after-ride meal for all registrants from 11:30am to 5:30pm
  • BEER - The first beer is on us, provided by Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition.
  • Jerseys & T-shirts as available for purchase (in limited quantities).
  • A massage service is available.
  • Customer Service / Drop Bag Pick-up
