*Postponed until 5-12 February 2022*
The Atlas Mountain Race is a fixed route, unsupported, single-stage cycling race that starts in Marrakesh, crosses the Moroccan Atlas before taking riders through the Anti-Atlas and on to Agadir.
The clock does not stop and there are no prizes. It follows gravel, single and double track and old colonial pistes that have long been forgotten and fallen into disrepair. There is very little tarmac. There is some walking, and at times there is great distances between resupply points.
After a successful first edition in 2020, the AMR returns in October 2021 (postponed from original February date). UPDATE: Now postponed again until February 2022.
Entries for the 2021 edition are now closed. Entries for 2022 are expected to open in October/November 2021.
