The Southeast Texas Hike & Bike Coalition hosts The Big Thicket Bike Tour in Hardin County Texas.

There are six routes with distances of 14 to 100 miles that ramble among the scenic pine forest country-side. The Tour travels through the beautiful communities of Kountze, Warren, Hillister, Fred, Spurger, Silsbee, and Lumberton.
All routes start at the Big Thicket Baptist Church 6123 FM420 Kountze, TX 77625 (across from the Big Thicket Visitor Center)
The 14 mile route is a family-friendly ride along the new Hardin County Hike and Bike Trail. This smooth paved path is very wide and stretches from the Kountze Trade Days grounds to the Big Thicket Visitors Center. The trail is 7 miles each way and is dedicated to pedestrian and non-motorized traffic only. Motorized vehicles are prohibited from the trail.
For the more ambitious there are 36, 46, 63, 77, and 100 mile routes along the edge of the Big Thicket National Preserve area for a beautiful and scenic experience.
Well stocked rest stops and SAG wagons provided.
