Clean Air Challenge Alaska

For over three decades, the American Lung Association's iconic Clean Air Challenge has been the premier cycling event in Alaska. It's the perfect kick off to your summer. This top-notch ride gives you a choice of distances from 10 miles to 100, all starting and finishing at the beautiful Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.  

Clean Air Challenge offers four different route options to ensure the event has something for everyone - from experienced cyclists to those new to distance riding. Characterized by Alaska's stunning landscape, the ride proceeds to guide you through what some people call the last frontier in the United States. And of course at end of the ride there awaits a dinner and overnight accommodations at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, overlooking Denali and the Denali National Park.

Rest stops are an average of every 15 miles and are well stocked with delicious food, electrolytes, medical and mechanical aid.

The single-day, looped route includes kid-friendly route options.

We provide comprehensive rider support, superb organization, jaw-dropping views of Denali, medical and mechanical support, and lunch and snack rest stops. 

• The $500 (adults) or $250 (Youth) minimum fundraising includes your ride on Saturday, our after-ride feast and fete, and an overnight stay at the Lodge in a shared room. Or
• Double your impact on lung health in Alaska by upgrading to the Winner's Circle fundraising level ($1,000) to earn a private room and a pre-ride stay at Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge. 
• Join the Champion's Circle ($1,500) to guarantee your two-night, mountain-facing private room at the lodge and a Clean Air Challenge Champion's Circle jacket.
• Team Captains of qualified teams (5 or more members) also earn the Clean Air Challenge Champion's Circle jacket.
• Top fundraiser wins a Specialized Diverge Adventure Road bike and top child/youth fundraiser earns a Specialized kids bike, both courtesty of The Bicycle Shop.
• Each adult rider is entered into a drawing for a free pair of Alaska Airlines tickets, and the more you raise, the more you win!
