Eddy Merckx New England Gran Fondo

A dream come true for any cyclist, the Eddy Merckx New England Gran Fondo promises to deliver a day of fun and excitement to riders of any ability. Comprised of several different routes composed of gravel sectors as well as fully-paved courses, riders will have the opportunity to explore the finest roads and most pristine autumn landscapes that Southern New England has to offer.

Routes will wind through charming towns and past quaint New England farms, offering picturesque views of the fall foliage (nature permitting). Sticking to their New England roots, course designers have included several gravel sectors of the courses (all rideable on a road bike, but 28mm tires are recommended) highlighting some of the best kept secrets in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut.

The ride will include mechanical and SAG support, fully-stocked rest stops at local establishments, and roads with minimal traffic. Routes will be well-marked and GPS files will be available for download.

The Ride

• Start and Finish located at the Thompson Speedway – site of the 2017 KMC Cross Fest
• Quiet back roads with minimal traffic through Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island
• Stretches of hard packed gravel roads highlight each route
• Routes will be well marked and available for download as GPX files
• Fully stocked rest stops at local establishments
