Kermesse Sport, in cooperation with Strive Fitness are pleased to present the Lake Nockamixon Century, a pillar of the regional calendar since the 1980s. We thank SCU for their years of caretaking of the event, as well as their faith in allowing us to take over the reins.
The courses have changed over the years, as starting locations shifted. The 2015 edition will feature 3 routes of approximately 38, 65 and 103 miles. All riders will visit picturesque Lake Galena as well as Lake Nockamixon!
The Lake Nockamixon Century was originally organized by the Pennsylvania Bicycle Club (PBC). Suburban Cyclists Unlimited (SCU) was formed in 1989, following some changes within PBC. SCU took over organizing the Lake Nockamixon Century in 1990, and the ride prospered under their tenure. The ride once won the League of American Bicyclists’ "Best Century" award.
In late 2013, in light of the other events and activities they organize, SCU decided they could no longer support the Nock in the manner it deserved. We approached them about taking over, and are honored that they granted us permission, and in the faith they have in us to continue the tradition.
