Oskar Blues Brewery presents the OLD MAN WINTER BIKE RALLY – an epic day of adventure by bike consisting of 50km or 100km of dirt, snow, sweat, and beer rolling through the world-famous cycling mecca of Boulder County, ColoRADo…from Lyons to Boulder and beyond.
Quench your thirst for adventure at this ‘Snow or Shine’ cycling celebration. Get ready for some Colorado winter cycling fun like you’ve never experienced: Luxury aid stations with heat and eats, a hot meal and a cold beer at the finish line, and a rousing post-ride party with live music, contests, and a raffle. It will probably be the most fun you have all winter.

The Old Man Winter Bike Rally was created to be THE winter adventure by bike. It is the one and only winter cycling festival that brings Boulder’s best riding to cyclists of all levels . From quiet country roads to scenic mountain canyons, we’ve got the distance and the terrain you’re after. Choose either the short or the long course, and be prepared for an adventure like you’ve never experienced.
- Choose the 50km option for a scenic spin along the paved and gravel farm roads on the east side of the Foothills Highway.
- Choose the 100km route if you’re after leg burning climbs, bone chilling descents, and an exhilarating adventure in the canyons west of Boulder

Long Course (100km)
$75 through November 30, $85 through January 31, $95 through February 11 and $100 on race day.
Short Course (50km)

Enjoy Boulder County’s scenic country roads on this untimed, mellow course. Nothing too steep or technical, just fun and beautiful.
Long Course: Gravel, Pavement, and Trail. 4722ft of total climbing. Your new cycling adventure starts here…
This one is timed and cash is on the line. Starts out fast and flat, then climbs to a ‘secret trail’ that traverses from Lefthand Canyon to Sunshine Canyon. Plunge down into Boulder for high fives, then roll up your sleeves and climb some more. The final stretch is mellow and great for a paceline. Hot food, cold beer, and live music awaits you at Oskar Blues in Lyons.
The long course is timed, however the short course is not.
Completing the Old Man Bike Rally comes with bragging rights and stories of courage and survival, but that’s not all. Riders also get the following:
