Ride for Major Taylor is a fully supported ride, benefiting the Major Taylor Project. Come ride a BRAND NEW route with us Sunday, April 22- we will meander through White Center, Burien, Normandy Park, Des Moines, Tacoma and Vashon Island. 

2018 Registration fee update

When we first began producing the Ride for Major Taylor in 2015, we had two major intentions for it: one, to highlight an amazing program that enriched the community and the students it serves. And two, to raise money for that program so that it could continue to do good work.

Since the beginning, we’ve tried many fundraising methods to manage donations that come in from Major Taylor riders and supporters, and after careful consideration, we’ve landed on a system that we hope will be most effective for riders, donors and staff. So this year, we’re bringing it back to the basics: a $125 all-inclusive entry to the ride that eliminates the need for riders to solicit donations, and instead keeps the focus on what truly matters: the program itself.

60% of the ride registration fee goes directly to the Major Taylor Project, so you can feel good about the cause you’re pedaling for. And at 60 miles, this new route boast new vistas, a killer new giveaway, and an upgraded food experience. Full scholarship options are available. We look forward to seeing you on the road! The Major Taylor Project

The Major Taylor Project is a year-round, youth development cycling program focused on introducing youth from diverse communities to the recreation of cycling and creating an inclusive culture of bicycling that will continue to future generations. The Major Taylor Project currently serves ten schools in Seattle, one in Puyallup and six in Tacoma.
