The Slaley Slog Sportive

THE HELL OF HEXHAM Sportive last rode in 2015 took riders from Hexham Racecourse over to the North Pennines and back.

THE SLALEY SLOG SPORTIVE in 2022 is “THE RETURN TO HELL!!”

100km of challenging ride from SLALEY HALL HOTEL, down to Hexham, up to Allendale and the North Pennines, a drop into STANHOPE before tackling CRAWLEYSIDE BANK and heading back to the DERWENT RESERVOIR and the finish line at the Hotel.

5500 feet of climbing, one of the top 100 climbs in the UK from Stanhope, well stocked feed stations at Allendale and Stanhope, an event top, medal, a bacon Sarnie and a coffee for all riders!

Toilets and FREE parking at Slaley Hall Hotel, chip-timing, FIRST AID, fully signed and marshalled route & an on course mobile bike mechanic. This one is a real challenge and riders should feel confident of being able to complete the event.
