Tour de Madison

This year’s event will have everything you’ve come to expect from the Tour de Madison.

The Tour de Madison offers three routes:

Added new in 2016, a bonus loop adding an additional 8 miles and a Cat 4 climb!

The Metric Century—The Metric Century heads from Syria through Banco to Haywood and the Hebron Valley before ascending to Novum.  First rest stop is at Brightwood Ruritan Club grounds just after you cross Rt. 29, at about 20 miles.   From Brightwood it follows Lillard’s Ford Road to Oak Park and then heads toward Good Hope Church.  The route circle from there down to Uno and cyclists can take advantage of the refreshments and facilities there at 33 and 43 miles into their ride.   The final stop is at the Madison Parks and Recreation’s Hoover Ridge facility at 51 miles.  From Madison the route heads back through the Hebron Valley for gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge on the way back to Syria.

The Intermediate Route—The 45 mile route heads from Syria through Banco to Haywood and the Hebron Valley before ascending to Novum.First rest stop is at Brightwood Ruritan Club grounds just after you cross Rt. 29, at about 20 miles.   From Brightwood it follows Lillard’s Ford Road to Oak Park and then heads to Madison where the second rest stop is at Madison Parks and Recreation’s Hoover Ridge facility.  From Madison the route heads back through the Hebron Valley for gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge on the way back to Syria.

The Family Ride—Ride as long as you want on the flat or gently rising roads around Syria.
